Support
Report a problem
Email support@taqwa.world, or open an issue on GitHub if you have an account there. Three things make a report easy to act on:
- the app version, shown under Settings › About Taqwa;
- your phone model and its Android or iOS version;
- what you were doing just before, and a screenshot if it helps.
If the app closed unexpectedly, it keeps a short technical report on your phone and offers to email it the next time it opens. Nothing is sent unless you choose to send it.
A prayer time looks wrong
Prayer times depend on the calculation method, and communities differ. Settings › Prayer times lets you pick the method your mosque follows, choose Hanafi or Standard for Asr, and adjust any prayer by a few minutes. The Hijri date is an arithmetic calendar and can differ by a day from Umm al-Qura or from local moonsighting; the same screen has a one-day adjustment for that.
Recitation downloads
Recitations download over Wi-Fi by default; Settings › Quran › Recitation has a switch for mobile data and shows what is stored, per reciter, with a way to delete it. A download that stops partway resumes where it left off.
Your data
Everything Taqwa knows lives on your phone: your location or chosen city, your settings, bookmarks, tasbeeh counts and downloaded recitations. There is no account and no server, so there is nothing to request or delete on our side. Uninstalling the app removes all of it. The privacy policy says this in full.
Something else
Ideas, corrections to a translation, a reciter you would like to see: the same address works for all of it.
